Early-access app teases Star Wars Blu-ray set

We're a little more than a month away from the arrival of "Star Wars: The Complete Saga" on Blu-ray, and Lucasfilm is continuing the recent Comic-Con buzz by offering the most detailed sneak peak of the set to date with Star Wars Blu-ray: Early Access App.

September 16 will bring the nine-disc Blu-ray set to store shelves, and Lucasfilm publicity poobahs have effectively been hyping the set since CES in January. Most recently, they made a buzz at Comic-Con by unveiling a trailer of the restored deleted scenes included in the set.

Good news for Google Apps users: your pleas to get access to Google+, the search titan's latest foray into social networking, have been heard.

In a public-facing note on the service yesterday, Google's president of enterprise, Dave Girouard, said that the company is working to make Google+ available to Google Apps users. Google Apps is Google's customizable version of the company's various productivity services including Gmail, Calendar, Talk, Docs and Groups.

eBay complains about UK mobile broadband coverage

The online auction firm eBay has complained to Ofcom about a lack of mobile broadband coverage in parts of the UK.

According to research conducted at the behest of eBay, 16 percent of the UK remains an "m-commerce not-spot", meaning mobile spending in such areas is at least 20 percent below the national average. The Scottish highlands and islands and rural areas of England and Wales fared worst in the study, which was carried out by Verdict.
