Rarely has a piece of cinematic automotive ingenuity inspired so much awe in me since I saw the Batmobile in the first Batman film. Not to take anything away from the arguably more powerful successor in Batman Begins, but this real-life version of the "Warthog" vehicle from the Halo videogame series looks like it would be a bit more fun to drive, and perhaps a little easier to parallel park.
As recently noted by Will Greenwald, one of Crave's resident gaming experts (not to be confused with Resident Evil), the "Wii Zapper" wasn't exactly what virtual gun slingers had anticipated. Perhaps that's why others are seizing the opportunity with alternative shooting controllers like the "Wii Blaster," which looks a little more convincing.
Coolest-Gadgets says you work it by using the Wiimote as the barrel, attaching it kind of like a bayonet but on the top of the pseudo-weapon, while the Nunchuk slides into the handle. It's not bad for a little over $… Read more

Gamespot's James Yu was able to get some hands-on time with the Xbox 360 chatpad, a clip-on keyboard for the Xbox 360 game controller. Microsoft had first announced the chatpad add-on after the spring '07 dashboard update with MSN Messenger support made it obvious that some sort of texting accessory would eventually be coming our way.
Preliminary testing tells us that the keyboard has a solid feel with buttons that provide ample feedback. The chatpad will not get in the way of your gaming, since your hands rest comfortably on either side of the device.
The chatpad will be … Read more

Ducati isn't the only company fond of color schemes in red and black. Nintendo is apparently planning a limited-edition "Crimson/Black" DS Lite to mark the coming release of its Brain Age 2 title, accompanied by the game and a matching traveling case in a special package deal.
Electronista says Canadian retail chain Future Shop disclosed the plans inadvertently, and the page that listed it has apparently been taken down. It reportedly put the price at $153, about $10 more than the cost of a standard DS Lite alone.
Call us old-fashioned, but we'd think twice before ingesting something billed as a magical elixir created for a game. Yet Japanese distiller Suntory is apparently confident that it will sell thousands of vials containing a special "potion"--77,777 to be exact--to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII.
The potent-potable company is teaming with game developer Square Enix to distribute the limited-edition liquid, which Newlaunches says will be sold in Japan starting this September. For the record, the potion is made of "jelly enriched with vitamin B1." Yum.
Gamespot is reporting that when the new, slimmer PSP is released in Japan on September 20, buyers there will also be able to pick up a new TV tuner accessory, the PSP-S310, which will attach to the new PSP's USB port.
The article says that, "The peripheral weighs in at only 17 grams and is very portable, but is compatible only with the new PSP model. Also, since it's a 1seg digital TV tuner (ISDB-T broadcasting format), its use is limited to the Japan airwaves. The TV tuner will be released at the same time as the … Read more
After being intrigued by Scion's Little Deviant campaign ads, I stumbled across a link to the Little Deviant site and gave it a try. The ad campaign is pleasantly dark, and designed to market the new Scion xB and xD. The Web site features a series of small games, the premise of which is that Sheeple are making the city bland and boring. Your job as a Little Deviant is to kill the Sheeple, because you can use their blood to decorate your car. Along the way, you apply a little war paint to yourself. The games are pretty … Read more
