Ouya game console adds OnLive, outs controller

If you've questioned the Ouya's core gaming chops, developer Boxer8's might have addressed some of your concerns about its Android-based, Kickstarter-funded game console this morning. The company says it has secured Ouya support from game streaming company OnLive, which will add its large cloud gaming library alongside the Ouya's own game store.

By bringing in OnLive, Ouya can boast AAA-quality titles like Warner Bros' Batman: Arkham City, THQ's upcoming DarkSiders II, and UbiSoft's Assassin's Creed games. Sprint today announced that the Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch (what a mouthful!) is ready for its Android 4.0 update.

A post on the carrier's official message board provides the build number and basic details for the Ice Cream Sandwich update, indicating that it will run from July 12 to July 20. Two more of AT&T's phones will get Google's big 4.0 operating system refresh today, the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket (at long last) and the Samsung Galaxy Note.

Verizon pushes back Samsung Galaxy S3 sales to July 12

Those of you looking to buy a new Samsung Galaxy S3 online from Verizon Wireless will have to wait a couple of extra days.

The carrier's Web site now pegs the phone's online availability for July 12, a change from the previous date of July 10.

However, preorders still seem to be on track, according to Engadget, which reports that some of its readers have already received the phone or at least been notified that it's shipping.
