Verizon Wireless lets you get corporate e-mail without a smartphone

Previously, if you wanted access to your corporate e-mail, you needed to have a smartphone like a Palm, Windows Mobile, or BlackBerry device. Now Verizon Wireless is offering a direct push e-mail solution called RemoSync, which can be used on ordinary phones like the LG Chocolate and the Motorola Razr2 V9m. You do need to sign up for monthly access for $9.99 a month, but hopefully you can have your company expense that for you. Kia and Hyundai cars to get Microsoft software

Microsoft and the Hyundai Kia Automotive Group announced today an agreement to put Microsoft's Automotive Platform, the technology behind the Ford Sync system, into Hyundai and Kia cars by 2010. Ford Sync lets users integrate MP3 players and cell phones with their cars, allowing for hands-free calling and voice-command music selection. Full Blackberry BES sync support for Zimbra and SugarCRM now available

I just spotted DataSync's news that it now offers full Blackberry BES sync support for Zimbra and SugarCRM. I no longer use a Blackberry, but for those enterprises (like mine) that use SugarCRM and Zimbra, this will no doubt be a big benefit.

For those who have been frustrated by NotifyLink (Hear! Hear!), the product is still in beta but promises to be better than the mostly lame NotifyLink service:

Live Mesh consumer app is a work in progress

Microsoft is announcing Live Mesh today in conjunction with the Web 2.0 Expo. It's an ambitious technology platform for sharing data among people, apps, and devices. Consumers will first be exposed to the technology in a personal data synchronization and device-sharing product of the same name, competing directly with products like LogMeIn, GoToMyPC, SugarSync (review), Syncplicity (review), and Microsoft's own FolderShare, and SyncToy.
