Fund this: Keyprop adds a smartphone stand to your keychain

In my ideal universe, all meals are pizza, all pizzas make you lose weight, and every smartphone comes with some kind of kickstand.

That's because I like to read or watch videos while eating my magical weight-loss pizzas. Alas, very few phones can be propped up at comfortable viewing angles -- not without some kind of DIY stand.

Or this: The Keyprop is a smartphone stand that rides shotgun on your keychain. Or it will, if developer Alison Wong raises enough funds.

The Keyprop looks like your average plastic key, save for two small "teeth" that protrude … Read more

Apple and Samsung can't be stopped in the handset market, according to new data from analysts at Cannacord Genuity.

The analysts on Monday reported that Apple and Samsung again combined to capture all of the operating profits in the handset industry in the first quarter of 2013. In other words, there isn't a single other device maker competing in the mobile industry right now that's actually nabbing operating profits.

Although that might sound like bad news for companies like Nokia, Motorola, and Sony, Cannacord pointed out that in the past, Apple and Samsung had actually combined to … Read more

Let's imagine you're able to pin down a Key Lime Pie Googler and offer up a few suggestions. What features are you aching to see in the OS?… Read more

Leaked 'blackbox' Motorola could be AT&T X Phone

A trio of of images hitting the Internet on Thursday seemingly confirm that a Motorola X Phone is in the works for AT&T.

The three photos, which come from oft-reliable Twitter source @evleaks, show a smartphone (or smartphones) that somewhat resembles previously leaked photos. Bearing the name "Blackboxed Motorola for AT&T," it appears to be the same handset found in a batch of images that have since been removed from a Vietnamese site. Unfortunately, there's nary a specification or detail to accompany the pics.

It may be of little significance, but I noticed … Read more
