iTunes 10.0.1 breaking AirPlay

A few people who have installed the latest version of iTunes (version 10.0.1) have found that their remote speakers are no longer working. This reflects similar reports that came out when people upgraded from iTunes 9.2.1 to the initial release of iTunes 10.

The problem may be hard to pinpoint, but so far people have had success in turning off the system firewall or reinstalling the program; however, removing relevant preference files may also help.

Apple gets social in iTunes 10

The big news all over the tech world last week was Apple's annual music event in San Francisco. As expected, the company launched a major refresh to its iPod line and gave its multimedia jukebox behemoth iTunes an update. The software revved to version 10, but the changes were pretty minimal in the eyes of most. Syncing playlists

There are more-convenient ways of getting your iTunes playlists onto your BlackBerry than physically plugging in your USB cable and transferring songs in a block. For example, you could use a program like Music WithMe, which is actually a dual-part system composed of a desktop component that scans your iTunes library for playlists, and a BlackBerry app from which you can pick the songs to play.
