Google's Street View application is making its way to the Nintendo Wii U starting next month.

Nintendo today announced the Street View app on its Twitter account. The company also posted a video on its Web page, showing Nintendo chief Satoru Iwata using the application with the GamePad.

The Wii U's massive update that runs after booting the hardware won't be bundled in the console for at least a few months.

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata has apologized for the Wii U's missing features at launch.

"Personally I think that users should be able to use all the functions of a console video game machine as soon as they open the box," Iwata told IGN in an interview published yesterday. Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime told CNET in a phone interview today that during the last week, its internal data has shown total U.S. hardware sales have reached more than 1.2 million units. That figure includes the Wii U, Wii, 3DS, and DS.
