Moga, a company that has been making Android game controllers since its inception, has finally jumped into the iOS 7 space.
The company on Tuesday announced the Moga Ace Power gamepad, a device made for iPods and iPhones running iOS 7. The gamepad, which will cost $100 when preorders are made available this week, is essentially two pieces -- one for a thumbstick and D-Pad and the other featuring another thumbstick and action buttons. Users simply slip their iOS 7-based device into the controller, lock the two sides around the screen, and they're on their way.

The video game industry had a strong October despite a drop in hardware revenue, new data from market research firm NPD revealed.
The US game industry generated $791.1 million in October, up 5 percent compared to the same period in 2012, according to NPD. Microsoft Xbox guru Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb posted a video to his Instagram account Wednesday showcasing how quickly the Xbox One can turn on with voice commands.
The video shows Major Nelson using the "Xbox on" voice command. The Kinect hears that command and turns on the system and logs him in. The boot-up is by no means instant, but Major Nelson says that "it's faster than you can find your controller."

Microsoft has announced plans for the Xbox One launch, just two days before its chief competitor, the PlayStation 4, hits store shelves.
According to the software company, its launch celebration will span more than 10,000 retail locations in 13 countries. Those retail stores will open their doors at 12:01 a.m. local time to kick off Xbox One sales. The festivities will start in Auckland, New Zealand, and sweep across the globe.
