Yota Devices, the mobile company that has caught the attention of the smartphone world with its dual-screen YotaPhone, already has its sights set on a second-generation device.
Speaking to Pocket-lint in an interview published Wednesday, Yota chief Vlad Martynov said that his company plans on launching the second-generation YotaPhone in late 2014. Martynov didn't provide details on the second-generation handset.

LG's G Flex smartphone is finally expanding beyond its home base of Korea.
The curved smartphone will be available for preorders in Singapore starting December 8 and go on sale in Hong Kong on December 13, LG said on Wednesday. In Hong Kong, the phone will be available through the country's major mobile carriers and leading electronics chains.

Nokia has won a key ruling in the England and Wales High Court against HTC over charges of patent infringement.
Justice Arnold of the England and Wales High Court ruled on Tuesday that some of HTC's Android-based handsets, including the critically well-regarded HTC One, infringe a patent held by Nokia related to a "modular structure for a transmitter and a mobile station" -- a fancy description for the way frequency is carried for smartphones.

Samsung has added some "accents" to its Galaxy Note 3 line.
Samsung on Monday announced that its Galaxy Note 3 will be available with Rose Gold accents. Samsung also offered up a Merlot Red Galaxy Note 3 option.
The Galaxy Note 3, which launched in September, previously came in Jet Black, Classic White, and Blush Pink versions. According to Samsung, the Rose Gold accents will make their way to the Jet Black and Classic White models. The Merlot Red Note 3 will stand alone as a separate model.

Consumers who've shunned Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 because of its $300 price tag may see a less-expensive version early next year.
Previous rumors had suggested that Samsung would offer both premium and not-so-premium editions of the Note 3. An unnamed insider told blog site SamMobile that the lower-cost Note 3 Lite will appear at Mobile World Congress next year and reach consumers in February or March.
