Arguably, Passbook is off to a fairly slow start. Even after having a few months with developer previews of iOS 6, companies and developers have taken their time in rolling out support for Passbook now that it's public.
Starbucks, Target, McDonald's, Airbnb and even a few airlines have rolled out Passbook integration, but it's been a slow process. More than half of iPhones in the U.S. and Canada are already on Apple's latest operating system, a new report says.
Advertising and analytics company Chitika today released updated metrics on ad impressions dating back to when iOS 6 came out last month. The company found that 60 percent of iPhone users are now on iOS 6. Meanwhile iPad users trail at 45 percent, and iPod users at 39 percent.

Everyone knows that Apple is dealing with a firestorm of criticism over problems with its new iOS 6 Maps feature, but a new ad for Google-owned Motorola Mobility's Droid Razr may have crossed the line.
