Nokia fills out Lumia portfolio, highlights exclusive services

BARCELONA, Spain - A year into its partnership with Microsoft, Nokia is filling out its Windows Phone smartphone portfolio and differentiating devices with Nokia-only features and apps.

On Monday, Nokia kicked off the Mobile World Congress tradeshow here with a new low-end Lumia Windows Phone smartphone, the Lumia 610. This is now the fourth Lumia Windows Phone in the portfolio, and it will sell for 189 euros ($254) in Europe before subsidies.

Well, it looks like we finally get to know what that vague snow video was all about.

A few days ago, Nokia released a 22-second teaser trailer hinting about something so "pure," it mentioned the word at least three times.

Now we know it's in reference to the manufacturer's newest device, the 808 PureView. A phone that has so many megapixels, its megapixels have megapixels. Alcatel OT-808: Pretty and patronizing in pink

All the single ladies (all the single ladies), put your hands up for the Alcatel OT-808.

It isn't the first QWERTY clamshell mobile phone we've ever seen, but it is possibly the first to be square rather than rectangular. In fact, it looks almost exactly like a make-up compact. That's probably what Alcatel had in mind, because the OT-808 is "designed exclusively for women." Squee!
