Deutsche Telekom, the owner of U.S. wireless carrier T-Mobile, is working on improved terms for the carrier's bid for MetroPCS, according to a report today in The Wall Street Journal.

Unnamed sources told the Journal that the German telecommunications company is probably going to announce the sweetened deal as early as Wednesday. The new terms, which could help save the merger despite shareholder protest, will likely reduce the amount of debt transferred to the new company, according to the report.

At the Intel Developers Forum in Beijing, China, today, ZTE debuted the ZTE Geek, a 5-inch handset featuring a 2GHz Intel 32nm Atom Z2580 processor.

The device also features an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, and a front-facing, 1-megapixel camera. Inside, you'll find a 2,300mAh battery.

Apple is planning to remove several app-discovery programs currently available in its App Store on the same grounds that it removed AppGratis, All Things Digital is reporting, citing people who claim to have knowledge of Apple's plans.
