The price of Nokia's Lumia 900 has been slashed by half in the U.S as the company attempts to lure in customers with heavy discounting.

AT&T released new pricing for the phone, cutting the cost of the Lumia 900 from $99 to $49.99. AT&T sells the smartphone exclusively in the U.S.

AT&T slashes Nokia Lumia 900 price by half

It was only a matter of time that AT&T drop the price of the Nokia Lumia 900 in a move that's great for consumers and perhaps not so good for Nokia.

Starting today, the Lumia 900 costs just $49.99 with a new two-year service agreement, down from its already-inexpensive $99.99 price tag when the smartphone first debuted in April.

Nokia restructures China operations, shuts down offices

Nokia is shuffling its operations in China as it hopes to better address the largest smartphone market in the world.

The company confirmed to the Wall Street Journal that it would close its operations in Chengdu and Shanghai, but increase the size of its operations in Beijing and Guangzhou.

Magenta Nokia Lumia 900 coming to AT&T July 15

Forget pretty in pink. How about fiery magenta for the color of your next Nokia phone? AT&T announced today that it will release a version of the Nokia Lumia 900 Windows phone in a bright "pink" shade, starting July 15.

The magenta Lumia 900 joins the black, cyan, and white versions of the phone. Customers will be able to buy the raspberry-colored handset online for $99.

Nokia Lumia phones to expand to Verizon

Verizon customers looking to buy a Nokia Lumia Windows Phone may soon get their wish.

The Lumia lineup is headed to Verizon, according to comments made by Richard Kerris, Nokia's vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations. In an interview with tech enthusiast site Neowin, Kerris said that "it won't be long" before Lumia phones are available to Verizon customers, though he didn't reveal an exact time frame or which models might pop up.

If you have extra cash in your pocket, Nokia and Amazon are ready to bring your Nokia 808 PureView jealousy to an end.
