Several Mac users are reporting that Mac OS 10.6 (as well as 10.6.1) will spontaneously log out of their account in the middle of using applications. A number of people are having a problem in Snow Leopard where, upon switching Spaces, their keyboards stop functioning in other applications. A few people on the Apple discussion boards have reported a problem where upon updating to OS X 10.6.1 their systems will not wake from sleep mode. For the second time in two days, there are reports that a cougar has been on the prowl near Microsoft's headquarters in Redmond.
The sightings were enough to prompt Microsoft to send out a note on Friday letting its employees know what they should do if they encounter one of the cats, which are also known as mountain lions.
"Never approach a cougar," Microsoft said in the memo, which was earlier posted on Seattle-area Web site TechFlash. "Although cougars will normally avoid a confrontation, all cougars are unpredictable. Cougars feeding on a kill may be dangerous.&… Read more
Be aware that Snow Leopard seems to have a problem with how guest accounts are handled on systems that had them enabled before upgrading from Leopard.
