GamePolitics.com is reporting that U.S. District Judge Paul Huck has dismissed anti-video game crusader Jack Thompson's lawsuit against Gawker Media, the publisher of game blog Kotaku. Thompson had claimed that Kotaku and Gawker Media had failed to honor his requests to remove "threatening" comments from several of their blog posts that were critical of his eagerness to blame video games for the tragic Virginia Tech shootings earlier this month.

Anti-video game advocate Jack Thompson has sued Gawker Media, the parent company of gaming blog Kotaku, according to GamePolitics. The reason for the suit, which was filed in a federal court in the Southern District of Florida, was a number of reader comments on recent Kotaku posts that Thompson deemed "threatening" and which he claimed Kotaku and Gawker Media declined to remove from the site.

Forget about those silly bomb-defusing alarm clocks. This is one piece of hardware that would make Jack Bauer proud (real or fake versions alike).

This case mod was designed to "look like the sort of atomic bomb that one sees in spy movies or on TV shows like 24," as described on TechEBlog. The creator is quick to add that he "tried not to base the design on any real or fictional bomb, but simply out of my imagination." That's a relief--we think.

My Samsung BlackJack stinks. But it's not what you might be thinking. It's not that it's poor quality, but rather it really smells bad. No sooner did we post an item about Jack Bauer's watch than we heard from our friends at Uncrate, who pointed out an entire lot of 24 gadgetry that they had diligently assembled.

In addition to the watch, Uncrate identified Jack's phone, weaponry, pocket scope, vest and even his (gasp) messenger bag, as well as other odds and ends.
