Android has gotten a lot of negative buzz for its susceptibility to malware. But a new study from Juniper Networks suggests that iOS could also be at risk.
Scanning hundreds of thousands of applications across the mobile landscape for its 2011 Mobile Threats Report, Juniper uncovered more than 28,000 pieces of malware last year, a rise of 155 percent from 2010.
As expected, Android was the post popular target.

Whether or not these Droids are the ones you're looking for, Motorola continues to push them out. Today Verizon confirmed that the Droid 4 will be available this Friday, February 10, for $199 with a new two-year contract.
We first got our hands on this latest addition to the Droid franchise at CES last month and found it should be sure to please old-school Droid and slide-out keyboard fans.

Starting Friday, new customers or existing ones signing a new contract can get double the amount of capacity--4 gigabytes--when they purchase a 4G LTE smartphones and sign up for a $30 data plan and accompanying voice and text message plans.

Verizon's support page explains that Big Red has an update in the works for the Droid Razr Maxx, along with its predecessor the Droid Razr. According to details uncovered by Droid Life, the fourth (or is it 40th?) iteration of the popular Motorola series should begin to arrive in retail stores over the next few days.
