This squat little device is purportedly the new LG LX600 for Sprint, set to debut some time in the near future. An intrepid user on the SprintUsers.com forum found this image online, and it sure looks convincing to me. The LX600 is actually a clamshell that opens up to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard.
Like the Blitz, the LX600 is a "dumb" phone made just for messaging. It also has external music player keys for the built-in music player, as well as a camera, but there doesn't seem to be too much information about the other … Read more
Verizon and LG have brandished a new color for its popular Voyager, this time in Titanium. This "lustrous titanium finish" is poised to make the LG Voyager a showcase for a couple of new Verizon services, namely V Cast Music with Rhapsody and Visual Voice Mail, both of which we've heard about before.
Also, it looks as if Verizon has dropped the Visual Voice Mail subscription price to $2.99 a month per line. This is good, but we still would much rather Verizon offer the visual voice mail without a monthly fee at all. The LG … Read more
Remember the LG Prada? Yeah, that fashion touch-screen phone that preceded the original iPhone by a few months.
Well, according to this tidbit by the Boy Genius Report, apparently LG is planning to release the LG Prada II, but this time it'll have a slide-out QWERTY keyboard as well. Little is known about the Prada sequel so far, but there is this picture of it floating around, and it does look like LG just slapped a QWERTY keyboard on the old hardware.
We hope its features will improve upon the original with a better megapixel camera, more internal storage, … Read more
AT&T and LG just launched the LG Invision, a brand new cell phone which they claim is made for video on the go. We mentioned this awhile ago as a rumor, but now it's finally official. The Invision joins the LG Vu and the Samsung Access as the only devices capable of supporting AT&T's live mobile TV service, which currently broadcasts programs from providers such as CBS Mobile, ESPN Mobile TV, NBC2GO, and more.
Here are the specifications: The Invision measures 4 inches tall by 2 inches wide by less than one-half inch thick, … Read more
So you wanna save the Earth, huh? You've got two options: you can visit the Surya nightclub in London and dance on its electricity-generating dance floor, or you can buy an LG Flatron W2252TE monitor.
It might sound like some sort of futuristic tank, but the W2252TE, which we first told you about in June, is reportedly the world's most eco-friendly monitor. LG reckons it sucks just 22W in use and as little as 0.3W in standby mode.
We tested these claims, and to our delight, it drew just 18.8W in use and less than 0.… Read more
According to BusinessWeek, Dell plans on taking aim at Apple and will unveil a solution that could see companies from a bunch of industries working together to create the first solution to give consumers real choice.
The idea will be unveiled in September and will attempt to give you more choice in how you buy and consume media, BusinessWeek reports. More importantly, Dell will give its partners the software they need to establish the solution and will try to turn a profit on the sale of hardware.
"Customers want access to content from a broad variety of sources--how, when, and where they choose," Michael Dell told the publication.
"Apple wants to lock you in," Robert Enderle said to BusinessWeek. "Dell wants to lock you in to choice."
But will all those choices translate into a profit and a new standard that will take iTunes and every other proprietary service down? Will buying a song on Amazon.com and sending "it to the mobile phone of a friend or the car stereo of someone who has satellite radio" really work?
Sure, it might appeal to us and I certainly think that's a neat idea, but based on the information we have, it sounds like there are too many moving parts and too many people involved in the decision-making to make this a viable service.… Read more
Even though we reported Verizon would bring visual voice mail to the LG Voyager a couple of weeks ago, apparently we jumped the gun because the application went missing from Verizon's Web site shortly after we posted about it. Well today, Verizon has finally made it official that it will indeed be implementing visual voice mail for the LG Voyager, but it won't be for free. It is available for $2.99 a month per line. This is disappointing, to say the least, since the visual voice mail option for the Samsung Instinct and the Apple iPhone do … Read more
Yesterday, I mentioned a space-saving stackable washer and dryer unit. But what if even that takes up too much room in your living quarters? Are you doomed to drying your clothes in the bathroom or out the window? Are you going to be deprived of fluffy towels and soft shirts? Not if LG has anything to say about it.
LG's new Washer/Dryer combo is an all-in-one machine that takes your laundry from dirty to dry in a single unit. That's right, you can put in a load of laundry and come home to clean, dry clothes.

AT&T Mobile TV may get another handset to offer its live TV service in the form of the LG CB630 Invision.
According to Engadget Mobile, this Samsung Access-lookalike may debut for AT&T this August 13 for $99.99, with a $50 rebate and a two-year service agreement. So far, the only phones to support AT&T Mobile TV are the LG Vu and the Samsung Access, though there are rumblings that the Access may go the way of the Dodo when the Invision comes onboard. We don't know too much about the Invision just … Read more
