Is Hewlett-Packard quietly showing off a new tablet it plans to launch in the coming months?

For the second time in three weeks, a tablet has cropped up in a company ad that doesn't appear to be any of the slates it has already launched. This time around, the tablet is shown in a "Make It Matter" section of the company's site. A doctor at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital in Stanford is holding the mystery device. Sony readying quad-core Xperia tablet ahead of IFA

Sony has been quietly readying a new Android-powered tablet that should supplant the company's Tablet S. According to a host of leaked images, the new tablet will feature Nvidia's Tegra 3 quad-core processor and come with three storage options.

Bearing the distinctive folded magazine wedge design, the Xperia tablet is an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich device with a 9.4-inch display. Other specifications include an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 1-megapixel front-facing camera, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a 6,000mAh battery. Samsung schedules Unpacked event for IFA conference

Brace yourselves, Samsung fans. The company has scheduled a new Unpacked event for August 29, where it's assumed it will debut a new Galaxy device. As to whether we're in for a smartphone or tablet remains unclear at this point, but our Magic 8-Ball points to both. Specifically, we might expect a hybrid of the two form factors in Samsung's second world version of the Galaxy Note, the Galaxy Note II.

Rumor Has It: iPhone 5 isn't the only trick up Apple's sleeve

Sprint's ZTE Flash could have 12-megapixel camera, 4G LTE

Sprint and ZTE appear to becoming fast friends as details for yet another collaboration surfaced over this past weekend. Apparently called the ZTE Flash, the handset's specs could rival those of other high-end Android smartphones.

According to TalkAndroid, the ZTE Flash will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and feature a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, a 4.5-inch HD (1,280x720 pixels) IPS display, and offer support for Sprint's 4G LTE network.

10-inch BlackBerry tablet surfaces, but will it ever launch?

A 10-inch BlackBerry tablet has surfaced on the Web.

User "vuhai6" on Vietnam-based forum Tinhte has posted several images (Translate) of what is purported to be a 10-inch BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. The device looks to have the same design as its currently available 7-inch counterpart, but according to the poster, could support 4G networking.

Speaking of 4G, the poster also shows images of a 4G 7-inch PlayBook. Although it's not immediately clear where the images were taken or when, the person claims to have obtained them from someone else.

Purported new-look iPhone 5 gets video treatment once again

For the second time, a purported iPhone 5 chassis has popped up in a video on the Web.

Japanese site Macotakara posted a video -- dubbed "iPhone 5 Housings?" -- from YouTube that shows a person holding what could be the next iPhone. The device appears to come with the long-rumored, taller 4-inch display, and a plate on the back that extends for part, but not all, of the device's backside.

In addition, the video shows the purported iPhone 5 with a smaller dock connector port as well as the headphone jack on the bottom.
