Goodyear decided to kick off this year's IAA Commercial Vehicle show in a gigantic way with the reveal of a life-size Lego big rig. While you cannot drive this mock truck, at least we can marvel at the fact that it weighs 1,631 pounds and contains a quarter of a million Lego bricks. … Read more

For most gamers, the summer is a time for self reflection on the busy season ahead. It's a time for us to gather our thoughts, to compose ourselves, and perhaps venture out to what most normal humans refer to as "outside."

Today we're reminded of what awaits us this holiday season with a first-ever multiplayer mode trailer for the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops II, due out on November 13.

Kratos to return in God of War: Ascension

In a post on Sony's PlayStation.Blog, game director Todd Papy has announced that the fourth God of War console game will be called God of War: Ascension and will come to the PlayStation 3.

Judging from the teaser-trailer, Ascension looks to be a prequel of sorts, telling the story of Kratos before he became known as the Ghost of Sparta, "a time when something other than rage consumed him."

Sony will have more information about God of War: Ascension on the PlayStation.Blog April 30, but don't expect to be playing the next Kratos epic until spring 2013. … Read more

iMovie adds trailers and more: Hands-on

iMovie started out on the Mac, and the desktop is still the best place to create movies, but the slimmed-down iOS version of iMovie ($4.99) keeps getting better with added features that bring something more to your clips.

The big new addition to the app is the capability to make fun trailers for your movies. While you might wonder why you would want a trailer for your vacation movie, once you make one using the included themes, you'll see just how charming they can be.

You can choose from several trailer types that run the gamut of movie … Read more

SwagBucks Android app pays rewards for watching videos

Late last year I sung the praises of cash-rebate sites, which pay you back for making online purchases you were going to make anyway.

SwagBucks gives you prizes for doing stuff you already do, like searching the Web, playing games, taking polls, and watching videos.

It may sound a little scammy, but the site's legit: in the past couple years I've redeemed bucks for things like Amazon and iTunes gift cards. The challenge, of course, lies in earning enough bucks for a decent prize.

You now have one more tool in your arsenal: SwagBucks TV Mobile, a new Android appRead more

Drivers are an 'Endangered Species' in latest Forza Motorsport 4 trailer

Turn 10 Studios has produced a live-action trailer for the upcoming Forza Motorsport 4 racing sim for Xbox 360, and it is officially the saddest thing I've seen this week.

Now, I don't mean "sad" as in poorly made. The trailer, titled "Endangered Species," is beautifully produced. It's narrated by Jeremy Clarkson, from the show "Top Gear"; the action follows an enthusiast's escape from a carpool and into an Aston Martin DB9 sports coupe and his subsequent attempts to outrun all those things that suck the joy out of driving. … Read more
