FruitMenu preventing Mac App Store log-ins

After installing the 10.6.6 update and launching the new Mac App Store, a few people are noticing that the window for signing into the store seems to be missing. If Expose is activated, the window will be shown as being available, but when it is clicked the window will remain hidden.

Some have found that the main App Store window seems to be hiding the log-in window, and though it can be moved to reveal the log-in window, the window seems to be inactive and will not accept user input.

Mac App Store downloads hanging related to Boot Camp

A number of people who have installed OS X 10.6.6 and have been using the new Mac App Store are finding that when downloading applications the App Store seems to hang, sometimes showing the spinning color wheel and other times just pausing with no indication of progress.

Apple releases Digital Camera Raw Compatibility Update 3.5, adds Nikon D7000

Apple has released version 3.5 of its Digital Camera Raw Compatibility Update, which includes support for several new cameras including Nikon's D700 and Coolpix P7000.

Rumor: Apple to open Mac App Store December 13th

According to "inside sources" reporting to Appletell, the Mac App Store may be opening as early as December 13th. Appletell claims that Apple has told developers to have their Mac App Store software ready for launch by next Monday.

Though the stated opening of the Mac App Store was sometime in January, sources say that pressure to open the store before the holidays may be pushing the launch earlier. With a second beta of Mac OS X 10.6.6 being released to developers as well, the two may coincide.

Perhaps peculiarly, Apple removed AirPrint from the public release of Mac OS X 10.6.5, an update largely expected to allow iOS 4.2 devices, such as the iPad, to print to shared network printers.

Apple seeds Mac OS X 10.6.6 ahead of 10.6.5, announces demise of Xserve

Ahead of the public release of Mac OS X 10.6.5, Apple has seeded Mac OS X 10.6.6 to developers. The update for 10.6.6 notes that developers will have support for fetching and renewing receipts in the forthcoming Mac App Store.

Apple has released a new version of its operating system, Mac OS X 10.6.5 (Build 10H548), to developers for testing. This version focuses on AirPrint compatibility, 3D graphics, QuickTime, and USB devices.
