The 404 363: Where we autotune Brian Tong to death

by Justin Yu

Brian Tong, host of CNET TV's The Apple Byte, finally makes the trip out to New York for the sole purpose of helping us host the show. Alright, we wish--in reality Brian is out here for a much nobler cause. Today's show is filled with everything you'd expect from Apple fanboys and video game nerds!

It's always an insane show whenever Brian Tong of CNET TV's The Apple Byte rolls through the studio, and today is absolutely no different. Although we'd like to think that Brian is here just because he loves us so much, it turns out that his trip is for a much greater cause: The big Moon personally invited him out to speak on a panel in front of CBS interns about what it's like being a minority in the media, something that Wilson and I definitely could have spoken about, but clearly CBS wanted a positive influence on the kids. Unfortunately, Brian finally drops some bad news when he tells us that these 13-year-olds are already vying for all of our jobs.

In today's episode, Brian gives us a rundown of his sojourn to E3 and all the recent video game news coming out of the pipe, including Project Natal, Xbox 360 rumors, next-gen console forecasting, and everyone's favorite Nintendo Wii vitality sensor! I wish I could remember what else they were talking about, but I blacked out (on purpose) just as they started talking about E3. Much thanks to B-Teezy for getting up early to do the show!

The 404 Throwback: Episode 241, 12/8/08

by Jeff Bakalar

A very special 404 throwback episode!

Assault with a deadly burger, bar bathroom toiletries, perfect strokes, black balls and boba straws, and Asian gangstas are just a few of the topics brought up by today's guest, Mr. Brian Tong from CNET TV! He usually keeps it clean on his show, the Apple Byte, but The 404 is all about letting loose, and trust us--he does. This might be the most perverted, nasty, NSFW, and all around hilarious show EVAR- OMGBBQ!

I don't even know where to begin. Brian Tong, star of CNET TV's The Apple Byte joins us today for what be our dirtiest show ever. We run the gamut of perversion, from assault with a deadly burger to almost 10 minutes of jokes about Logitech's PerfectStroke system. Tangents are the name of the 404 game, so we also take a few moments to explain to Jeff about the mythical Asian dessert known as Boba and run through the verbal insanity that is Urban Dictionary. You also have to tune in to hear us give a detailed (and metaphorical) rundown of a certain GIF that I found online. Won't definitely won't show you it, but we use enough euphemisms so that you get a pretty good idea. How many times do I have to say this? NSFW NSFW NSFW NSFW NSFW NSFW NSFW!!!

The 404 255: Where we've jumped the virgin shark

As day two of CES 2009 came to a close, The 404 wrapped up the day with a solid audience of tired, dreary-eyed show goers desperate for some much needed entertainment.

Today Brian Tong joins the show to talk about the worst of CES, primarily the men's bathrooms, crying babies, and recycled floor tape. Best of all, we add a new segment to the show called "Sexy Press Release."

Be sure to catch us live again tomorrow from the CNET stage at 5 p.m. Pacific Time.

Our final mini-sode and the very last 404 before 2009! It's been a big year for The 404 even though it's been a really crappy year for everything else in the world. We talk about the origins of the show, the infamous BOL hijack, the addition of Justin Yu and of course, Dan the Mantern. We reminisce about all our fantastic guests and dry our eyes as we count down to the new year. Thanks to all our loyal fans! We couldn't do this without you! See you in 09...

The 404 182: Where Brian Tong bleeds yellow and Jeff has jaundice

by Justin Yu
  • Post a comment

With Justin's fellow socks-with-sandals-wearing San Franciscan Brian Tong on the show, things get more giggly than a New Kids on the Block reunion concert. B-Tong and the boys discuss their favorite ninja turtles, a number of fast food related stories and their resentment of Twitter.

Dan the Mantern here. It was a pleasure to sit back and watch the magic happen on today's show. The Tongster brought so much good karma to The 404, a bold decision has made. Uniting West Coast and East, combining Wilson's good looks, Justin's singing voice, Brian's hair and DJ Jeff Mackalar's fresh beats it's Tang Tong Yu - the boy band sensation. Look for their new album, The Love ConNEcTion, this fall, in the Wal-Mart bargain bin underneath a VHS copy of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III. Cowabunga dude!!!
