CNET's business buying guide
CNET editors' picks for monitors
By Christopher Null (updated December 4, 2003)

The world is going flat. Sure, you can still buy big, bulky CRTs. But, increasingly, now that prices have dropped, LCDs have become the monitors of choice for general purpose business computing. Flat panels have several other advantages over old-fashioned CRTs: They offer brighter images, lower weight, and greater energy efficiency--and they require only a fraction of the desk space. As long as you can squeeze it into your budget, a flat panel is a worthwhile business investment.

How to buy monitors for your business
