In response to the success of iTunes and the significance of Napster To Go, Real Networks has launched a revamped version of Rhapsody that incorporates many of its competitors' features. The biggest change is a Napster To Go-like subscription service that will allow users to transfer any number of 1 million-plus songs from Rhapsody's catalog to a compatible device. Rhapsody 25 is the free iTunes-like streaming audio jukebox software with 320Kbps MP3 encoding, 25 free streaming radio stations, and 25 free track streams per month. Rhapsody Unlimited is a $10-per-month subscription service with unlimited downloads and streams; it also has innovative community features such as playlist sharing and Instant Playlist, which automatically creates a playlist based on your preferences and usage history. For $15 a month, you can untether your downloads and transfer them to compatible devices in the new Rhapsody To Go subscription service. So which devices will be compatible with the service? Here's a partial list; you'll notice that some devices work with both Rhapsody and Napster To Go. Side note: Real Music Store downloads are again compatible with the iPod.
