Digital in Detroit: new cars make us forget PCs Back to intro

Digital Signal Processing cropped up in cars a few years ago to offer, for example, "concert hall" reverb simulations or Rock and Baroque presets for the tone controls. We've been less than impressed by those kinds of DSP, but Jaguar uses the technology to solve a real problem: balancing the sound for various passenger configurations. A few simple onscreen buttons tweak Balance and Fade settings digitally.
