Digital in Detroit: new cars make us forget PCs Back to intro

We saw a lot of cameras being used to let cars sense their surroundings. One example you can get today is Infiniti's Lane Departure Warning System, which utilizes a camera in the windshield in combination with a sophisticated image-processing computer to determine if you are drifting out of your lane, toward a collision or a ditch. Volvo's BLIS technology will do much the same, though via a pair of rear-facing cameras mounted in the side-view mirrors.
