Controversial from the beginning, the iDrive now has several imitators from Infiniti, Audi, and Acura. However, none offer the force feedback of the original, which sets it apart in terms of allowing the driver to control the car's electronics while keeping both eyes on the road. More work needs to be done to make the menus intuitive--are the iPod engineers busy right now?
