Upside: Verizon has picked a sleek, MMS-enabled mobile to accompany its Get Pix service. The camera in the VX6000 flip phone has a digital zoom, color effects, and white-balance adjustments; can take pictures in three resolutions; and has five fun frames to dress up photos. Users can send snaps to another Verizon Wireless customer or any e-mail address, or they can upload the shots to an online photo album. Downside: Since this is Verizon's first MMS-enabled phone, users will initially be able to send pictures from this handset to other VX6000 owners only. Outlook: The VX6000, with its stylish design and affordable price tag, is one of the more attractive camera phones available; as such, it will compete well against other mobiles in the market. However, the phone's must-have status will depend largely on its ease of use and the pricing plan for Verizon's accompanying service. |
