I spend my days leading the operations of an Internet solutions firm and my evenings trying to keep up with the latest gadgets and online trends. My wife, my dog, and I live in Atlanta, Georgia. We recently completed our home-theater project, and we love plopping down on the comfy couch to watch a DVD or a TiVo show on the big screen.
It's an incredibly interesting time in consumer electronics, and I am thrilled to be covering home theater and video during CES 2006. With so many new technologies entering the market, I can't wait to see what comes out on top. IPTV? Blu-ray? HD-DVR? Plasma? Wireless? Home networking? Seeing what companies like Microsoft and Sony do with these technologies--or perhaps what they expect consumers to do with them--will be even more exciting. The home theater is the stage for a great technology showdown.
My friends and family often look to me for real-world advice on electronics. What works, what works better, how it works, and is it worth it? I'll bring the same take to you for CES 2006.
