I am Lou Montulli, tech fanatic. I consider myself extremely lucky to be able to wake up every morning and be truly excited by the work I do. I am an engineer at Shutterfly, building a next-generation platform for digital photo organization.

I am obsessed with new technology and therefore excited by my mission at CES: to find exciting new products in the computers area--a broad assignment, considering that some form of computer is in almost every product we buy today. For the sake of this mission, I will be restricting myself to PCs, Macs, networking, hardware, and desktop-related applications.

One of the biggest areas of excitement in the general computing category at CES is wireless networking. We all have seen the enormous benefits of networking in general through the rapid spread of the Web. The premise of always-available, high-speed wireless access wherever we go could change the way we interact with our world. Staying in constant contact with the office, bidding on your favorite auction site, or instantly sharing pictures from your Wi-Fi-connected camera are all possible, anywhere, anytime with new wireless technologies.

With this energy around wireless in mind, I'll be looking for innovative solutions to everyday problems that result in usable products that save us time, give us better access to information, and keep us connected to both our coworkers and our friends and family.
