![]() The product: If you love cranking up the tunes on your laptop wherever you go, Creative now offers 8-inch-wide speakers that you can attach to your notebook screen, liberating yourself from those tinny built-in speakers. Weighing 10 ounces, the titanium microdrivers of the Creative TravelSound Notebook 500 aim for crisper clarity than common aluminum or paper speaker drivers, and Creative claims that the microdrivers separate left and right audio channels well. You can power this system via USB or universal adapter, or you can get up to 30 hours of cords-free playtime with AAA batteries. The price: $99.99 The prospects: If you want everyone within earshot to enjoy the MP3s or DVDs blaring from your notebook computer, you might snap up these lightweight speakers.
