AMD introduces its new mobile technology

![]() The product: On January 6 at CES 2005, AMD introduced its new Turion 64 mobile technology. The new technology is based on AMD's existing Athlon 64, with optimizations for high performance, wireless capability, and long battery life. Turion 64 is AMD's answer to Intel's Centrino technology. With the introduction of Turion 64, AMD's mobile processor positioning now looks like this:
