![]() The product: EVDO phones are big news at CES, and Motorola will not be left out. Its new E815 promises high-speed functionality along with a host of features that it can be used with. The extensive multimedia offerings include a 1.3-megapixel camera, video capture and playback, and an MP3 player, and all are packed into an attractive flip phone design. Memory also is generous: the handset has 40MB of internal capacity while a TransFlash slot adds an additional 256MB. Other goodies in the triband (CDMA 800/1900; CDMA 1X) phone include Bluetooth, a USB port, text and multimedia messaging, and a speakerphone. The prospects: With the E815, Motorola took the wise step of combining high-speed data capability, multimedia features, and plenty of storage.
