CES 2005: The Next Big Thing
Pop an array of cameras into
Kodak's new printer dock

January 6, 2005; 4:52 p.m.
Kodak EasyShare Printer Dock
Series 3

The product: Kodak's update to the popular EasyShare snapshot printer dock now works with ImageLink-compatible cameras by Konica Minolta, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax, Ricoh, and Sanyo. Just snap your camera into the compact silver dock, hit the Print button, and enjoy instant 4x6-inch snapshot gratification. The Kodak EasyShare Printer Dock Series 3 ships with the Kodak EasyShare Z740 and Z700 digital cameras, or you can buy it separately starting later this spring.

The price: $149

The prospects: We're happy to see vendors cooperate on cross-compatibility. Now that your friends with non-Kodak digital cameras can print on your photo dock, you might wish that it accepted quarters--judging by the costly good prints by this dock's predecessor.
