CES 2005 January 10, 2005; 8:36 a.m.
![]() The product: As its name suggests, the Eleganza Divano Action Couch isn't your typical sofa. M Design has placed a 300-watt amplifier and transducer into the couch's frame to provide the physical sensation from jolts and low-frequency rumbles coming from your favorite video games and action flicks. It also comes in a number of colors in either leather or microsuede and wirelessly picks up audio from your receiver, so it can blend into the decor of a contemporary home theater without adding cable clutter. The price: The Eleganza Divano Action Couch's price may make you fall out of your seat: $7,999.95. The prospects: If your home-theater system can't rattle your bones enough for your liking, the Eleganza Divano Action Couch might provide the visceral thrills you've been lacking. But you can probably get a burly club bouncer to come over to your house and shake the couch for you for a lot less than eight grand.
