![]() Creative makes dreams come true for wire haters everywhere January 8, 2005; 2:10 p.m. ![]() The product: Although Creative's Zen Micro headphones still need some work in the design department, we were able to get a listen to a working prototype. And guess what? They sound good. Hallelujah! We've been waiting for this day for what seems like ages, and with good reason. Up to now, available wireless technologies (that is, Bluetooth and RF) have been used successfully for mono audio such as cell phone headsets, but interference issues, combined with size and weight factors, rendered them unacceptable for decent audio sound quality. Thanks to new technology from Aura LibertyLink called magnetic induction, the Zen Micro wireless headphones suffer from neither poor sound quality nor interference. In fact, the very low-frequency technology even expands and contracts depending on your proximity to anyone else who's also using the 'phones. Other features include:
