LG PM325
January 6, 2005; 12:35 p.m.
![]() The product: When it comes to Bluetooth, LG has been a bit behind the times. But now, we're finally seeing an LG Bluetooth handset with its PM325. Running on a CDMA network (which also has been lacking in Bluetooth) the PM325 promises true hands-free talking. The slider-candy-bar design also is unique for LG. While most slider cell phones hide the keypad when closed, the PM325 instead hides the bottom half of the high-resolution color display. Other features include text and multimedia messaging, support for 1xRTT data speeds, a wireless Web browser, a VGA camera, and voice dialing. The prospects: The LG VX4700 finally brings Bluetooth to LG's stable, which itself is noteworthy. We only hope the eventual carrier does not limit the Bluetooth's functionality. We also like the sporty, slider design and the support for 1xRTT data speeds. The lack of a speakerphone, however, keeps the phone from being truly business-friendly.
