![]() Voodoo's Rage F5 brings custom, supercooled chassis to high-end gaming January 6, 2005; 11:50 a.m. ![]() The product: It's not the first high-end gaming PC we've seen with Nvidia's SLI dual 3D graphics card setup, but the Voodoo Rage F5 is visually the most impressive. With a custom chassis and a custom case layout, Voodoo has effectively created its own desktop form factor that isolates the various internal components for maximized cooling (the liquid-cooling system helps, too). If the cooling delivers as promised, you can expect a higher threshold for overclocking and the potential for improved performance compared to PCs that use a standard ATX or BTX case layout.
The prospects: The proof with high-end gaming PCs is always in the benchmarks, and the simple fact is that, at its price, the Voodoo Rage F5 had better deliver the highest possible gaming performance. There's no questioning the striking case design, both inside and out, but we're eager to check out the substance, as well. By Rich Brown, associate editor, CNET Reviews CES DEBUTS BY BRAND
