![]() Sennheiser's RS140 RF wireless headphones with virtual surround January 6, 2005; 11:50 a.m. ![]() The product: Sennheiser has announced two new RF 900MHz wireless headphones designed for those of us who want to watch TV or listen to music at night without disturbing the rest of the family. The more expensive RS140 has a closed-back design (no sound leaks) and slightly better sound quality, while the RS130 has an open-back design. Both incorporate SRS Headphone virtual-sound technology for movie listening and come with a base station that recharges the included nickel-metal-hydride batteries.
The prospects: Wireless headphones are becoming increasingly popular, and this moderately priced high-performance model should have a lot of appeal for late-night TV and movie watchers. By David Carnoy, executive editor, CNET Reviews CES DEBUTS BY BRAND
