Garmin iQue M5
iQue 3600, and now the GPS gurus are at it again with the iQue M5. Unlike the 3600, which ran the Palm OS, the M5 moves over to Window Mobile 2003 Second Edition so that you can switch to Landscape mode for better map viewing. The company also ramps it up by adding a faster 416MHz Intel PXA272 processor and maps of North and South America as well as Puerto Rico. What else does it have to offer?
The prospects: Upon first impression, it looks like Garmin made many marked improvements in the iQue M5. One of the things we lamented in the Garmin iQue 3600 was its poor battery life, so we're anxious to see if the M5 fares any better in our tests. That said, we can't help but think the high price will thwart many mainstream consumers from picking up the product.
