![]() LG's 55-inch LCD HDTV January 7, 2005; 11:14 a.m. ![]() The product: There's a lot of talk at this year's show about ultra-HD or 1,920x1,080 resolution, and LG has a few TVs that do it, including this 55-inch LCD panel. The company is also touting this TV's fast response time, which helps cut down on fast-motion blurring, a downside to many LCD TVs. Its Super-In-Plane-Switching technology is also supposed to provide a 176-degree viewing angle, which LG claims is the widest on the market.
The prospects: For those who will be able to afford it, this 55-inch flat panel with ultra-HD resolution should be pretty darn sweet. By David Carnoy, executive editor, CNET Reviews CES DEBUTS BY BRAND
