What is the best time of year to buy a computer--right before Christmas, after Christmas, when?

The holiday shopping season between Thanksgiving and Christmas is a great time to buy a computer since many vendors have special deals, such as free shipping, special discounts, daily or weekly offers, and free bundled accessories during this period.
Since most PC vendors sell built-to-order PCs on their Web sites, they're not as likely as retail stores to be offering discounts on excess inventory after the holiday crush is over. The back-to-school season at the end of the summer is also a good time to buy for the same reasons.
