Laptop users have plenty of options for pumping a TV signal into their portables. Buying a laptop with a built-in TV tuner is probably the easiest way. The
Toshiba Qosmio has a built-in TV tuner and comes with Microsoft XP Media Center Edition, making it an easy, turnkey solution for getting TV onto your laptop.
If you don't have the cash for a whole new machine, you can purchase an external USB TV tuner, which lets you add TV capability to a PC without cracking open the case. Most external tuners also come with their own media management software that may or may not be as useful as a full-fledged Windows XP Media Center PC, but at least you'll have something to work with. Windows folks can find products from
ATI, Pinnacle Systems, and Avermedia. USB Mac users can look at the MyTV from Eskape Labs.
