FarStone Technology and Auravision have announced the Fatal1ty GameDrive Pro, a virtual disc utility named after professional gamer Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel. The software can back up and emulate CDs or DVDs and will load them straight off of a hard drive. It can load as many as 23 virtual drives at once, for rapid switching between games. This isn't the first software to offer virtual disc emulation--Nero 7 Ultra Edition also supports virtual drives--but it is one of the first targeted specifically at gamers. Fatal1ty GameDrive Pro is available on Fatal1ty's Web site for $30.
