Car stereo manufacturer Dual is one of the first to show off Microsoft PlaysForSure technology in a head unit, giving MP3 players, as well as iPods, full car integration. In the Dual display, an XDMP680 head unit, equipped with Dual's iPlug EAUSB20 adapter, controlled an MP3 player from iRiver. The head unit can navigate through songs, artists, genres, albums, and playlists. To make navigation seamless, the EAUSB20 adapter copies the file structure from the MP3 player, so there is no delay while browsing for music. Many of Dual's new head units are compatible with the EAUSB20 adapter, but only MP3 players that incorporate Microsoft's PlaysForSure platform will work with it.
