  My best laptop EVER!!!

  Pros: Fast Penryn Processor, Nice sized HDD, Bright colourful screen, Very portable, Great battery Life, Great Build Quality, Can run windows, Looks Gorgeous!!!

  Summary: I love the Macbook. It is gorgeous. The boot process to Leopard is very quick. About 18 seconds for me! The Intel Core 2 Duo processor is really fast, and because its a Penryn, it runs cooler and prolongs battery life. The internal 5400 RPM 160GB Fujitsu Hard Drive is very quiet and offers a nice bit of storage space for all your stuff. The battery life is another strong point lasting 4:30 hrs, easily! The screen is nice and bright with vibrant colours which is a pleasure to look at for long periods of time, even with the glossy coating(which I love)! It is nice and portable, as it is a 13 inch laptop, but is a noticeably heavier than the Dell XPS M1330. It is also built like a rock, much better than the XPS M1330. It also looks gorgeous, a trait very common to apple products! There are some bad things about the Macbook though, as nothing is perfect. The new keyboard looks and feels nice but needs a fair amount of pressure to register a keystroke. Not much of a problem once you get used to it, but quite a change from my old Dell. There is no Firewire 800 port like on the Macbook Pro, only Firewire 400. I don't really notice it but some will when importing video or working with an external hard drive. The Intel GMA X3100 means little gaming, but 13 inch laptops aren't designed for gaming anyway so not much of a problem, especially since it is better for the battery when on the move. Another thing I hate about the keyboard is the lack of some very common keys on WinTel computers, the Page Up/Down keys. Those keys are very handy for moving up and down pages of text or websites and now you have to either use the scroll bar, the arrows on the keyboard(SLOW!!!) or use the 2 finger scroll. These annoyances aside, it is a fantastic portable, powerful laptop that looks stunning and will take anything you throw at it, even windows!

  Summary: I have used Microsoft products my entire life: starting with Windows 95, Windows 98, then eventually Windows xp. Once I looked into laptops I decided that I would stick with Microsoft so I purchased an HP Windows Vista. It was 'OK' for a while but after a couple months it became slow, froze up easily and was complicated to use and I didn't enjoy using it. Well, I looked into Apple and I decided to buy a MacBook, and boy have I enjoyed it ever since i pulled it out of the box! I have had it for about 2 months now and it has been flawless! It is user friendly, beautiful display, and an all around enjoyable experience. I will NEVER go back to using a PC ever again. So, buy a Mac.

  Summary: I have owned 5 notebooks in the past 5 years. Started off with a gateway solo; terrible. Then moved to the Gateway M305; ok performance but overheated alot. Then came the Toshiba satellite; performance was alittle better but just didn't do it for me. Then the HP dv9000, this notebook had alot of potential but it had two problems, the plastic casing was cheap and it had vista on it which chewed the hardware big time. After getting fed up with windows based PCs I decided to get a macbook and let me say my first mac experience has been incredible!! The macbook has a beautiful design, very light but sturdy, great battery life and a very reliable operating system. I highly encourage business users along with students to purchase a macbook. You will definetely get your money's worth. I have to say, once you go mac you never go back!!

  Summary: I've recently switched over to Macs with the purchase of an iMac 24" back in February 2008. This was a great addition to the iMac and replacement for a previous laptop (Dell 700m). It's beautiful and does everything I need it to do with outstanding speed!
  
  I'm able to use photoshop cs3 when I'm away from my home office and feel confident that I won't be hindered by slow processing. Although it's not the pro edition, I am able to do all my editing when it comes to my digital images. I don't feel like I'm missing out at all by purchasing this over the Macbook Pro!
  
  It's great for watching DVD's and streaming videos as well. I constantly watch movies or t.v. episodes on hulu.com when away from home or even when I'm downstairs or on the patio.
  
  In my opinion, if you already have an iMac (or any other desktop that meets your needs) and looking for a laptop as a supplement for when you're on the road, this is a great choice.
  
  Personally, I consider the MacBook Pro as more of a desktop replacement than a laptop. I chose to get an iMac rather than the Macbook Pro for this reason. I see this macbook as a means to fulfill my need for a truly portable computer.
  
  I suggest getting the incase hardshell cover if you decide to get the macbook. I had some minor scuffing due to some loose items rubbing against the surface of the laptop while in my bag. Nothing major as the white hides it well. I paired the hardshell cover with the incase neoprene sleve and I no longer have worries about lack of protection.
  
  I am extremely happy with this laptop. I would highly recommend it to my family and friends.
  
  Overall the laptop feels quite solid and well put together. No worries about any parts becoming loose or breaking off. For example, on my Dell 700m, I experienced having some keys pop off the keyboard - which was quite difficult to pop back into place. Also the 700m had a very cheap feel to it with plastic covers that snapped into place at the hinges and did not have the same solid feel as the macbook. It felt heavier on the right half of the keyboard so it felt quite unbalanced when you're clutching it in one hand. Furthermore the battery felt loose from day one, almost as though it could snap off you lifted it by the battery by mistake. Also, dust easily collected within the seams of the plastic shell which in time looked similar to grime that appears in the grout between the tiles in your shower. The macbook has less seams and does not use the same "cheap" plastic material.

  Summary: I have used a computer for a long time - almost 20 years now. I started on a monochrome, x286 MS-DOS clunker. I then worked every weekend to purchase a x486 running Windows 3.1. My next computer was a Pentium 1 which had Windows 98. Then, years later I got a Pentium 4 laptop which had Windows XP Pro. I never admitted it to myself, until just recently - but I was rediculously disappointed with all of these computers. The frustration, headaches, bothersome everyday use, and poor performance made me not want to have a computer at all, sometimes. I used a Mac only 2 or 3 times before I ever bought one, but after using one for the first time, I knew eventually I would have to switch from PC?s. Granted, running Linux is a viable option for an Operating System which is not abound with errors, but that?s more like building your own Remote Control car for the hobbyist - if you?re really hardcore, install Unix. Everything about the Mac is like what computers are supposed to be - they are like the unfound underground movies and music which drive the industry. All the while, the masses are tuned into a mainstream frequency of garbage and rubbish; wallowing in their own misery. There is a better way; granted Macs are slightly more expensive, but if you are an avid computer user looking for a good investment, not a waste of money...a computer running windows is obviously not the option.

  Summary: I was a Windows user since I was born! I finally have switched just before my 19th birthday. I have used windows all my life. From a windows computer to a windows laptop. I've used Windows 95, 2000, XP, and then Vista. But OSX is superb of them all. It boots up a lot faster than I thought, and also its so simple to use. I purchased this laptop just today at the Apple Store and got education discount ($100 off). Total price I paid after tax and recycling fee was $1300 about there. Very good deal on my behalf.
  
  I've used this laptop for two hours and I love it. The organization of windows and widgets, trying the crossover program and successfully downloaded Day of Defeat and it worked amazingly on the Macbook. I didn't think it would play this well but WOW, I didn't even have to fix the configuration it was done for me already. This laptop is just amazing and I love it.
  
  I've read Cnet reviews, Amazon reviews, and apple reviews, and all of them were right. Once you try a Mac, you won't want to go back to windows. I don't know how they do it, the fast boot up time and multitask speed. Its just amazing. But by far I love this laptop very much.
  
  You've got to get one! These macs are AWESOME! I'm a past 18 years window user and I'm glad I took the jump into the Mac OSX world.

  Pros: New Intel Processor runs super fast coupled with 2GB of RAM. Slot loading optical drive (DVD DL burner) is slick. Pretty, bright screen. Long battery life.

  Summary: This is a very powerful and fast laptop. I can not stress enough how fast this thing is. I have a solid 2 gigs of ram, 2.4 Ghz Core 2 Duo processor (Note: I haven't see on any other brands of laptops), a bright screen, and a decent DVD drive. What I'm trying to get to is that the hardware is probably the best deal for the money.
  
  Now for what I'm sure people will ridicule me for. I've messed around with Mac OS's for a long time and have never found anything extremely great about them. Everyone always talks about it's ingenuity ease of use and I'm not sure what they are talking about. For starters there is a command control and Option key. I mean how the F**K am I supposed to know when to use which one where for shortcuts.
  Then there is the system itself, always ******** about running programs (One of the reasons Vista was always getting a bad wrap). The more I used both systems the more they adapted to my style of Run anything I download. I also downloaded Firefox was using it and once I exited it, it just disappered and I can't find it anywhere. I use finder to try to but the computer probably got rid of it for some reason. I honestly can't wait until I buy Vista and can just run Windows on it becasue windows may not be complicated but it doesn't try to be hip and cool like a mac. Windows is always there for me and does what I ask it to do. I can't wait until I find a cool Windows sticker to put over that damn mac bulb on the otherside of my display.
