Matthew Fitzgerald, senior associate
technology editor (NY)
An alumnus of Rochester Institute of Technology and a previous staff member of Popular Photography magazine, Matthew has been involved with digital camera technology and the photo industry for more than 15 years. Matthew's background includes work as a professional photographer, a technical representative, and a repair technician. If Matthew doesn't have a camera in his hands, then there's a good chance it's because he is out riding one of his vintage motorcycles.
Eric Franklin, senior associate
technology editor (SF)
After three years of QA testing and nearly 10 years of product testing at CNET Labs, Eric has learned that testing is a great balance of real-world usage and objective, repeatable tests. Eric works hard every day to make sure that balance is maintained. When he isn't working, he'll most likely be found "owning noobs in Azeroth and Outland."
Joseph Kaminski, assistant technology
editor (NY)
Joe is a very high-energy person with a passion for all that is technology, from gaming to cell phones. Joe is a former CNET Labs freelancer who came back for a full-time gig with us. He has more than five years of experience repairing, building, and networking PCs as well as working with audio and video equipment, the latter of which enabled him to rub shoulders with many sports celebrities. Joe was the first CNET Labs staff member to buy a Sony PlayStation 3.
Dong Ngo, senior associate
technology editor (SF)
Before coming to work at CNET in 1999, Dong worked as a journalist for a variety of news agencies in Vietnam. Dong wears a lot of hats in CNET Labs; besides product testing and writing reviews and blogs, Dong does research and development for many of CNET Labs' testing tools and workflow applications. Outside of CNET, Dong is a world traveler and well-versed in several languages.
Julie Rivera, associate technology
editor (NY)
New to the CNET Labs family, Julie's fresh outlook and "grace under fire" persona has enabled an almost seamless integration of worlds for work and play. She previously freelanced as a computer technician and a Web content manager where she honed her uncanny troubleshooting skills.
