THIS WEEK: PRINTERS: IT'S ALL ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHS
By Matthew Sweer (March 3, 2004)
 |
Printers aren't a top buying priority among CNET users. According to our
latest survey, 23 percent of you said you wanted to purchase one. That puts
printers seventh on our overall most-wanted products list. Of that 23
percent, just more than half said you'd be replacing an old one; most of
the rest are thinking of buying a second.
Those of you who'd like to buy a new printer certainly know what you want:
69 percent say that printing digital photos is the primary reason for the
purchase. You're equally definite about your shopping criteria. First and
foremost, you want printers that can produce photo-quality prints. After
that, top priorities are reliability and inexpensive ink replacements.
