A triband, dual-mode cell phone with a removable 10GB solid-state disk, an MP3 player, and 802.11g Wi-Fi with an uplink to an affordable high-speed EDGE/GPRS-like infrastructure. The unit would have a 20-year, RTG-powered microsupply and run XP with Microsoft Office.
What tech insider secret do you find most useful?For desktops, install a second disk drive and Norton Ghost. If the master dies, put the slave in the master position and you're up in less than five minutes.
